Visit from the Mayor

On the 14th May 2022 we were fortunate enough to have the Mayor of Wirral visit us at the Saturday Judo Club. The Mayor gave out a number of awards including Kyu grades, Dan grades and a lifetime achievement award to Sensei Dave Rogers and the formal appointment of the title of "Shihan".
"Shihan" commonly refers to an expert teacher or teacher of teachers. I think we can all agree that over a 70 year teaching career, Sensei Dave Rogers has definetly earned such a title.
Congratulations to everyone who received awards and thankyou for coming.
